The Dourdan community is the place of formation for the postulants and the novices. It is located in Dighton, Massachusetts. In this community a woman’s religious vocation is nurtured. It is where she discerns her call at a deeper level in the company of vowed sisters. It is the place where postulants and the novices receive “the fraternal and spiritual help they need in order to accomplish what, humanly and individually, is beyond their possibilities.”

The community provides the loving and supportive environment for them to experience and examine the demands, challenges, and joys of religious life as a Dominican Sister of the Presentation.

One sister is working in Administration. She is also responsible for the ongoing formation of temporary vowed sisters. These sisters continue to deepen their human, biblical, doctrinal and apostolic formation in view of the mission.

The student sisters of the community give their time and services at Marie’s Place, a non-profit outreach ministry of the Dominican Sisters of the Presentation, as well as caring for our senior sisters. One sister is a chaplain at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. She is also a member of our Vocation Team.
