At the request of the Pastor of St. Anne’s Parish in Fall River, Massachusetts, Dominican Sisters of the Presentation came to the United States of America in 1905 from France to establish an acute care hospital. We founded Saint Anne’s Hospital ( which is still a thriving community hospital in Greater Fall River area.

At present we bring the charism of Blessed Marie Poussepin through our various ministries in three different States and the Nation’s Capital. The sisters also minister to the poor and marginalized in the field of Health Care, Education and Human Promotion in Honduras, Central America.

We are a community of sisters who are attentive to the calls of the Church everywhere in the Third Millennium...

  • minister to the weakest and most vulnerable members of our human family – children, troubled youth, sick, disabled, elderly and the dying
  • confront the poverty and misery of our society in rich and poor neighborhoods
  • listen to the voices of those who thirst for peace and justice and bring hope to all
  • embrace the culture and speak the language of the people we serve
  • respond by our presence in schools, hospitals, parish-based ministries, promotion of human dignity, missionary activities in inner cities and rural areas
